A 51-year-old man was killed after crashing on a Harley Davidson motorcycle north of Chico about 9:50 p.m. Friday.
A press release from the California Highway Patrol states he was driving west on Meridian Road, approaching Highway 99 at about 40 mph. He did not negotiate the right-hand turn and drove off the road. He was ejected from the bike and suffered
blunt force trauma to the body. His name has not yet been released.
An emergency crew arrived, but the rider died at the scene. The incident is under investigation. Alcohol may be a factor, the press release states.
