OAKLAND, MD : Garrett County woman arrested in McHenry crash on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017

A 19-year-old McHenry woman was arrested late Tuesday after she crashed her vehicle into a field in the Klotz Farm Drive area, according to Maryland State Police.

Molly Elizabeth Fazenbaker was arrested at the scene of the 11 p.m. crash on charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and negligent driving.

A K-9 scan of the vehicle reportedly led to discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and additional charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Following the arrest, Fazenbaker was jailed at the Garrett County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing by a district court commissioner.

Fazenbaker apparently escaped injuries when her passenger car traveled off the roadway and into an adjacent field, police said.
