Los Olivos, CA : One person killed in a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and casino bus on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County on Monday, January 18, 2016

One person is dead after a Chumash Casino bus collided with a Ford Ranger pickup truck on Highway 154 near Zaca Station Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Monday. Capt. Dave Zaniboni with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck was killed in the collision.

The driver was the only person inside the pickup at the time of the crash.

Highway 154 was closed in both directions at Foxen Canyon Road and at the U.S. 101/state Route 154 junction. Zaca Station Road at Highway 154 is also closed. Roads re-opened as of 2 p.m.

Two people on board the bus suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

The CHP is investigating the incident. The identity of the driver killed will not be released until next-of-kin has been notified.
