Worcester, MA : 21-year-old Luz Trinidad of Fitchburg identified as woman killed in crash on I-290 on Sunday, 25th August 2019

The 21-year-old Fitchburg woman killed in a crash on Interstate 290 in Worcester Sunday has been identified as Luz Trinidad, state police said.

Troopers were called to I-290 eastbound around 7 a.m. Sunday for a single-car crash.

Trinidad was driving her 2005 Kia Spectra on the highway and, for reasons still under investigation, went off the roadway and crashed.A 25-year-old woman from Leominster suffered minor injuries and a 23-year-old woman from Worcester was uninjured in the crash, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
