OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL : A fatal crash on Thursday, June 1, 2017

Troopers said they have located an SUV that left the scene of a fatal crash Thursday night in Osceola County.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the deadly hit-and-run crash happened on U.S. 192 near Vineland Road in Osceola County.

Troopers said a 62-year-old woman was struck and killed. Her name has not been released.

Troopers said the woman was trying to cross U.S. 192 when an SUV hit her and kept driving.

From parts left at the scene, investigators identified the vehicle involved as a white Nissan SUV with damage.

Investigators said the owner of a Nissan Murano contacted the FHP Friday morning to say that his vehicle had been involved in a crash. Investigators said the damage to the SUV is consistent with the a crash involving a pedestrian.
