Lyndonville, VT : A skateboarder is critically injured after being hit by a car at Lyndonville on Friday, May 6th, 2016

Vermont State Police say a skateboarder is in critical condition after being hit by a car.

Troopers were called to High Street in Lyndonville just after 1 a.m. Friday.

Officers say Ricardo Millien, 22, of Cambridge, Massachusettes, was headed north in his car when he hit Brandon Villeneuve, 25, of Lyndonville, who was on his skateboard. Villeneuve was headed south in the travel portion of the road.

When officers arrived, they found Villeneuve stuck underneath the vehicle. He was rushed to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital and later transferred to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
