Salt Lake City. ,UT :Motorcyclist critically hurt in Salt Lake City crash on Saturday night, July 25th 2015

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on Saturday.

Troopers said the crash occurred on I-85 northbound near mile marker 16 around noon.

Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said the driver of a 2006 Honda Pilot was traveling north on I-85 when they made a lane change, striking another vehicle.

Both vehicles struck the guard rail and the Honda continued over the guard rail, overturning before striking a bridge pillar. Rhyne said the driver was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
