LOUISIANA, MO : Nebraskan dies in deer-related crash in Pike County on Friday, 4th November 2016
An Omaha, Neb., man died in a Friday night crash in Pike County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Brian O. Reidelberger, 29, was traveling southbound on Mo. 79, 342 feet north of Bridge KO318, at 11:30 p.m. when a deer ran into the path of the vehicle. The patrol said the vehicle struck the deer, causing the Honda to leave the right side of the road and become airborne. The front of the vehicle struck an embankment and overturned.
Reidelberger was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:35 a.m. by Pike County Coroner Jim Turner. He was taken to Carter-Ricks Funeral Home.
The patrol said Reidelberger was wearing a seat belt.
