Rockford, IL : Four people injured in 3-car collision on Friday, February 17, 2017

Four people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries after a three-car crash this evening, according to authorities.

A southbound vehicle around 7 p.m. ran a stoplight on Springfield Avenue and struck a vehicle driving east on Kilburn Avenue, which struck a vehicle sitting westbound on Kilburn Avenue, Winnebago County Sheriff's Deputy John French said.

Three women from the vehicle sitting at the stoplight were transported to the hospital, as was a passenger from one of the other vehicles. They all suffered minor injuries.

Alcohol was not a factor, French said.
