LELAND, NC : Hit-and-run crash sends moped rider to hospital with serious injuries on Tuesday, 10th July 2018

A person riding a moped was seriously injured Tuesday night after what Leland police said was a hit-and-run accident.

The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on US 74 near the Village Road exit, according to a spokesperson with the Leland Police Department, who added that the person on the moped was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
