Luther, OK : One person killed in wrong-way crash on Turner Turnpike on Thursday morning, April 21, 2016

At least one person was killed Thursday morning in a crash on the Turner Turnpike, officials said.

The crash was reported shortly before 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes at mile marker 140.

A sport utility vehicle was driving the wrong way on the Turner Turnpike when it crashed into a semi-truck, officials said. A third vehicle was involved in the accident.

Investigators are working to determine why the vehicle was going the wrong way.

Another person was injured in the crash, officials said. That person's condition is not known.

The accident closed part of the turnpike, but the roadway has since reopened. The turnpike was closed for a little more than 3 hours.
