Orlando, FL : 21-year-old Haines City woman died in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 west in Osceola County on Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016

A 21-year-old Haines City woman died Wednesday evening in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 west in Osceola County.

Maxine Bartkovich was driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla in the left lane near Exit 62 to World Drive about 5 p.m. when she was rear-ended by a Ford pickup truck, Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said.

The pickup, driven by 44-year-old David Gillett, of Tampa, pushed Bartkovich's Corolla into the back of another pickup, which then hit the car in front of it, Montes said.

Emergency medical crews took Bartkovich and Gillett to Florida Hospital Celebration Health. Gillett had minor injuries, Montes said.

Bartkovich was then flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she died.

The other two drivers weren't injured.

Troopers closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 4 for several hours as they sorted out what happened.

Montes said charges are pending further investigation.
