Single vihicle crash killed two persons in Knox Country in Early Morning

Two people are dead following a single-vehicle crash in Knox County early Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers with Rural/Metro say it happened just before 2 a.m. on Norris Freeway near Old Raccoon Valley Drive.

Both people in the crash were killed.

Both north and southbound lanes were closed following the crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol estimated that the wreck would be cleared by 4:30 a.m.
