Monroe Township, NJ : 9-vehicle crash closes I-75 on Wednesday, 18th December, 2019

Northbound I-75 in Monroe Township remains closed this morning as crews continue to clear a multiple vehicle accident that involved several semi-trucks.
Traffic through the City of Monroe was thick after motorists were rerouted off the highway. The crash is believed to have occurred near LaPlaisance Rd.
Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Chief Mark Cherney reported the accident involved four semis, one box truck and four vehicles.
There were no fatalities, but injuries apparently were reported. The accident occurred as a light snowfall blanketed the area during the night. The Michigan State Police and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are involved.
