FLORENCE, SC : A Florence bicyclist was charged following a crash on May, Wednesday 3rd 2017

A Florence bicyclist was charged following a crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of Dargan and Pine Streets.

The cyclist was transported to a Florence area hospital following the collision.

"The investigation showed that the cyclist was traveling westbound on the sidewalk adjacent to Pine Street. The cyclist crossed Dargan Street against the traffic signal and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Dargan Street," Lt. Mike Brandt said of the crash.

The cyclist was charged with a pedestrian right-of-way violation, he said.
