Kosciusko, IN : Minor injuries for Fort Wayne man in Kosciusko crash on Thursday, 26th December, 2019

A Fort Wayne man was taken to the Parkview Hospital in Warsaw for minor injuries this morning after crashing his box truck into a forklift mounted on the back of a parked flatbed semi-trailer.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff said in a statement that just before 10 a.m. Luiz Gomez, 59, of Fort Wayne, was south on Indiana 13 south of County Road 1250 S in Jackson Township, when he crashed into the parked semi-trailer that was facing south on Indiana 13 for a delivery.

Investigators say a third of the semi-trailer was in the road and the rest of it was on the shoulder of the road.

The driver of the semi, Steven Sanders, 40, of Fort Wayne refused medical treatment.
