LYNDON, VT : Franklinville woman killed in single-vehicle crash on Abbott Road in the town of Lyndon on Thursday, 16th August 2018

A Franklinville woman died after her vehicle struck a tree Wednesday, New York State Police announced Thursday.Karen M. Putt, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash on Abbott Road in the town of Lyndon, which was reported at 6:32 p.m. She was reportedly traveling eastbound in a 2006 Jeep Liberty when she crossed over into the oncoming lane, exited the roadway and struck the tree.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
