Westminster, MD : Md. 482 shut down at Gablehammer Road due to multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday, 18th December, 2019

Hampstead Mexico Road/Md. 482 was shut down at Gablehammer Road near Westminster from around 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday night after an accident, police said.
According to a Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack spokesman, a vehicle collision occurred on Gablehammer Road shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The spokesman noted that ice on the roadway appeared to be a factor in the accident and that Maryland State Highway Administration trucks had been on the scene in addition to Maryland State Police and emergency medical responders.
While the accident was initially described as a multi-vehicle accident, a state police spokesman said at 8 p.m. that it was actually a single-vehicle accident, but that no further information on the condition of the driver was available at that time.
