Tallahassee, FL : A single vehicle crash on I-110 near Olive Road on Friday, 3rd January, 2020

An Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputy was taken to a local hospital Friday morning after being involved in a single vehicle crash on I-110 near Olive Road.

The female deputy sustained minor injuries, according to ECSO spokesman Maj. Andrew Hobbs.

"She hit a wet spot, ran off the road and hit a tree," Hobbs explained.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Robert Cannon told the News Journal that EMS was first dispatched to the scene around 8:50 a.m. after the law enforcement cruiser ran off the roadway on the northbound exit ramp off I-110 leading to westbound I-10.

"EMS treated her for a head injury," Cannon said.
