EASTBROOK, ME : Authorities identify man killed in Eastbrook accident on April, Sunday 2nd 2017

Authorities have released the identity of a man who was killed in Eastbrook last week when a car went off the road and struck a utility pole.

Police say 24-year-old Kirk Chandler was pronounced dead at the scene Friday. Police say the car went off the road on a sharp turn, hit an embankment and struck the pole just before 10:30 p.m.

Twenty-five-year-old Chase Debeck was airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries. Nineteen-year-old Maryah Sprague was taken to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, also in serious condition.

Police say it appears that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. No one in the car was wearing a seat belt.
