QUINCY, IL : Two Quincy men suffered serious injuries after a truck crash on Monday, 21st May 2018

Two Quincy men suffered serious injuries after a truck crash early Monday morning south of Quincy.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a 2009 Ford F-150 driven by Damon Hudson, 41, of Quincy, was heading south at 12:58 a.m. on 12th Street near Nieders Lane when Hudson lost control of the vehicle because of wet road conditions while navigating a curve and struck two trees.

Christopher Gilker, 44, of Quincy, and Shane Hudson, 46, of Quincy, were taken to Blessing Hospital with major injuries.

Shane Hudson was reported in fair condition at Blessing and Gilker was not listed in the patient directory.

The Sheriff's Department said Damon Hudson was arrested on charges of obstruction of justice, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He is being held in the Adams County Jail.

His injuries were reported as minor.

Assisting at the scene were the Quincy Police Department, the Tri-Township Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service.
