Boone County, IA : Four people injured in a head-on crash Oak Street on Wednesday December 30 2015

Four people, including a young child, were injured in a head-on crash on Oak Street at 800 East in Zionsville Wednesday afternoon. Police believe the cause may have been distracted driving.
Police at the scene said a 16-year-old driving a minivan in the westbound lane crossed the center line and struck another minivan that was traveling eastbound. Two adults and a five-year-old in the eastbound vehicle were injured, along with the 16-year-old driver of the other vehicle.
The adults in the eastbound van were taken to St. Vincent Hospital. The driver had serious leg injuries. The five-year-old was taken to Riley Hospital for Children. The child's condition is unknown.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash. Police are reminding drivers to avoid distractions like electronic devices and music.
