Semmes, AL : Arkansas man, another person killed in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 98 in Mobile County on Sunday morning, Nov 29, 2015

An Arkansas man and another person were killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 98, west of Semmes in Mobile County.

The crash occurred when a 2003 Ford F-150 collided head-on with a 2004 Ford F-350 driven by Jeffrey Paul Evans, 49, of Crossett, AR.

Evans, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Alabama state troopers.

The F-150 caught fire and the driver was killed. The driver's identity is pending positive identification by the Alabama Department of Forensic Science.

A passenger in the F-350 was injured and transported to USA Hospital.

The crash occurred at around 4:15 a.m. on U.S. 98 near the six mile marker, approximately three miles west of Semmes.

Troopers continue to investigate.
