Augusta, GA : One dead following crash at Fort Gordon Gate 5 on Wednesday, 19th February, 2020

One fatality has been reported after a three-vehicle crash at Fort Gordon’s gate 5 Wednesday.

According to a Fort Gordon news release, around 11 a.m., a car was entering Fort Gordon, when the driver lost control and hit a concrete wall before running into two other vehicles also trying to enter through gate 5.

Four people were transported to Eisenhower Army Medical Center. One person died, one was treated for injuries and two admitted for observation.

Identification is being withheld until next of kin is notified. The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.
