Las Vegas,NV : A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on may, tuesday 9th 2017

Las Vegas officials say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on a freeway near the Strip.

Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers say the person was hit by a Jeep on I-15 northbound Tuesday. The person was pronounced dead on the scene. The male driver was not hurt.

The northbound traffic was temporarily shut down and reopened Wednesday.

Officials say they are unsure why the person was on the roadway.
