Boulevard,NY : 2 men injured, 1 critically, in crash on Hylan Boulevard on March, Monday 19th 2018

Two men were injured, one critically, when a car slammed into a utility pole on Hylan Boulevard in Grant City early on Monday morning.

A 30-year-old man in critical condition and a 27-year-old man who suffered minor injuries were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze following the crash at 12:21 a.m. at 2188 Hylan Blvd., said a spokesman for the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

The NYPD's Highway Collision Investigation Squad is probing the single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation indicated that the driver lost control of the black Toyota and hit a utility pole.

Police identified the 30-year-old man as the driver and the 27-year-old man as the passenger.
