One driver suffered a broken ankle in a collision at K-61 and 30th Avenue Sunday afternoon that blocked the intersection for more than an hour after an SUV ended up on its side in the middle of the highway.
Police reported that Ada V. Moore, 42, of Newton, was cited for disobeying a red light, causing the crash between her 2010 Chevy Cobalt and a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Brian L. Holmes, 51, of 1 Carlton Road, Hutchinson.
Moore’s car ended up in the ditch, while the Tahoe flipped onto its side. Moore was transported to the hospital while Holmes was not injured, according to Hutchinson Traffic Sgt. Brian Hirt.
