A Marshfield teenager was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon just outside of town.
The incident occurred on George Street, approximately 50 feet outside of Marshfield, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
A Ford F150, driven by Kristopher A. Atwell, 17, Marshfield, was headed east around 4:15 p.m. when he lost control of the truck on the wet pavement while attempting to negotiate a sharp curve, the MSHP report said. The vehicle then rolled over, resulting in passenger Emily D. Chaffin, 15, Marshfield being injured.
The MSHP stated Chaffin was not wearing a seat belt and sustained serious injuries in the crash. She was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
