Columbus, OH : 1 pedestrian dead, 1 injured in Hit-run crash on U.S. Route 62 in Franklin Township on Saturday, November 29, 2014

Authorities are searching for a motorist who struck two pedestrians in central Ohio, killing one and injuring the other, and continued driving. The Franklin County sheriff's office says it happened shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 62 in Franklin Township. Witnesses told authorities that a small or medium truck or SUV struck the two people as they were crossing the road and continued driving southbound. Twenty-eight-year-old Tabitha Bowe was pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-three-year-old Nicholas Fox was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The crash remains under investigation. Sheriff's officials say the vehicle that struck the pedestrians will have front-end damage, a broken head light and a broken amber lens.
