Lincoln, OR : Man injured after being hit by a car in Lincoln city centre on Thursday, March 26, 2015

A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the centre of Lincoln.

Police received reports that a man was hit by a car in the St Mary’s Street area, near the Lincoln Central train station at around 11.16am on Thursday, March 26.

Eyewitnesses reported that the man was hit by a silver Audi A4.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with serious injuries. He was later transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to call them on 101, quoting incident number 127 of March 26.
