Orrstown, PA : Woman motorcyclist suffers severe injuries in Pa. crash on Friday night, August 5, 2016
A motorcyclist was flown to WellSpan York Hospital after suffering severe injuries in a crash Friday night, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Karen R. Myers, 46, of Mount Union, Pa., was attempting to make a left turn from Pa. 997 onto Pa. 641, according to a state police news release.
She over accelerated and lost control of the motorcycle, release said
The 2011 Harley-Davidson she was riding went off the right side of the road, striking a curb and a residence.
Myers was not wearing a helmet, police said.
The crash occurred Friday at 7:18 p.m., police said.
Myers was cited for violating state traffic code provisions that address driving on roadways laned for traffic, the release said.
She was listed in serious condition Monday afternoon, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
