Amity, PA : A suspected DUI driver caused this crash on Route 422 on Tuesday, December, 26th 2017

A suspected DUI driver caused this crash on Route 422 near Route 662 in Amity Township late Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports from the scene, a woman had just left an area establishment and drove into traffic in the eastbound lanes of Route 422, striking an oncoming SUV.

Amity Township Police were seen conducting a field sobriety test at the scene of the crash and then placed a woman in handcuffs into a patrol vehicle.

Assisting at the crash scene were Douglass (Berks) Police and Amity Fire and Rescue along with Southern Berks ambulance.
