Decatur, AL : 75-year-old motorcyclist dies in one-vehicle accident Saturday September 10 2016
A 75-year-old Decatur man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning, according to Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.
Chunn said the man was driving a motorcycle and ran off Old U.S. 31 near the Flint community about 10:30 a.m.
Decatur police later identified the man as Edward Vaughn Harwell.
Chunn said he received a call at 4:14 p.m. and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene at 4:36 p.m.
“We think the man may have had a medical event that caused the accident,” the coroner said.
The Decatur Police Department is investigating the fatality.
