Warwick, R.I : Woman dies crash North Kingstown line early Saturday morning, February 4, 2017

Police are seeking witnesses while they are investigating a motor vehicle crash that left one woman dead early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to Potowomut Road around 5:45 a.m., for the report of a car that had crashed into a tree.

Upon arrival, crews found a single car that appeared to have been travelling southbound, close to the North Kingstown line.

The victim was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where she was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash at this time.
