Sacramento, CA : Driver flees after crashing car in downtown Sacramento on Thursday, February 19, 2015

A driver who led a California Highway Patrol officer on a pursuit struck a vehicle at an intersection in downtown Sacramento on Thursday, officers said.

The driver ran a stop sign at 13th and S streets and hit a car crossing the intersection, the CHP said.

Officers said the driver then ran away and has not been located.

The Sacramento Police Department and the CHP are searching for him.

A brief perimeter was formed, but it was broken down later Thursday morning.
