Pickens County, S.C : Belton resident killed after colliding with hauled utility building in Pickens County on Monday, March 9, 2015

A 39-year-old Belton man was killed Monday morning when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a utility building being hauled by a tractor-trailer truck, according to the coroner.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Stacy Dean Searcy was driving north on Moorefield Highway when he hit the utility building and lost control of his vehicle and overturned.

Kelley said that Searcy was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle near Bethlehem Church Road.

Searcy was pronounced dead at the scene.
