WHITE LAKE, SD : Two die in White Lake crash, victims identified on Thursday, 11th August, 2016
Authorities identified a Sturgis woman and Minneapolis man as the victims of a fatal one-vehicle rollover near White Lake on Thursday.
The male driver, 22-year-old Taylor Tolle, died Friday at a Sioux Falls hospital, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The female passenger, 20-year-old Anjuli Kerlin, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Interstate 90 crash.
Tolle was driving a 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet westbound on I-90 at approximately 3 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch, where the convertible rolled.
Both Kerlin and Tolle were wearing seat belts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and other responding agencies were the Aurora County Sheriff's Office, White Lake Emergency Medical Services and the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
