PORT ANGELES, WA : Port Angeles police investigate wrecks on Monday, 16th April 2018

Port Angeles police investigated two wrecks in Port Angeles on Monday, both of which involved drivers who lacked insurance, police said.

The incidents included a non-injury wreck involving a school bus and another wreck that sent a mother and her children to Olympic Medical Center with chest pains.

At about 3 p.m. Monday officers responded to the 700 block of South Peabody Street, where a vehicle struck the rear of a school bus, police said on Facebook.

Kristen Christie of Port Angeles, 24, was cited for following too closely and for lacking insurance, said Jason Viada, Deputy Police Chief, adding that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
