Alexandria,LA : Fort Polk soldier charged in fatal crash on January, Friday 19th 2018
A Fort Polk soldier injured in a November crash that killed a fellow soldier has been charged, according to Louisiana State Police.
Alejandro Galvan Jr., 26, was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail on Friday and was charged with vehicular homicide and reckless operation. The crash happened on Nov. 30 on Entrance Road when Galvan lost control of the 2017 Subaru that he was driving.

The car hit a culvert and then several trees. At the time, Troop E authorities said alcohol and excessive speed were possible factors.
The crash killed William Rhodes, 22, of Hurricane, West Virginia. He was wearing a seat belt, but was ejected.
Galvan remains in jail as of Wednesday.
