Brooklyn, NY : Two men died in separate two-car crash at Brooklyn and the Bronx On Monday May 9th, 2016
Two men died in separate collisions in Brooklyn and the Bronx late Monday, cops and witnesses said.
In the first incident, a wild, two-car crash ended with a bicyclist fatally crushed by a T-boned vehicle on a Brooklyn street Monday night.
The bicyclist was slowly crossing E. 12th St. in Midwood just before 10 p.m., witnesses said, when a gray or silver Honda sedan driving south on the road slammed into a Nissan Infiniti going west on Avenue P.
The impact sent the Infiniti flying into the cyclist, who was pinned beneath it. The cars then slammed into a parked vehicle.
"The Honda lost control and swerved into the Infiniti. People started pushing the car off him," said Jake Sabba, 16. "He was choking and went into shock."
The victim was taken to New York Community Hospital, but he could not be saved.
About an hour later, a 39-year-old taxi driver heading south on the Bronx River Parkway struck and killed a man crossing the road at 11 p.m., cops said.
The driver stayed with the unidentified man until police arrived.
The victim died before medics could reach him in the southbound lane near the Bronx Park at Boston Road.
