Wauseon, OH : Two people dead after a crash on the Ohio Turnpike on Wednesday afternoon, May 4, 2016

Two people are dead after a crash this afternoon on the Ohio Turnpike.

A vehicle traveling westbound on the Turnpike crashed into a guardrail about 1:58 p.m. near Fulton County Road 12, according to the Swanton post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Driver Daniel Kopplin, 68, of Pewaukee, Wis., and passenger, Kevin Kopplin, 39, of Grand Forks, Minn. were killed. An additional passenger, Andrew Kopplin, 36, of Germantown, Wis., was treated at Fulton County Health Center for injuries troopers believe are not life threatening.

The crash closed westbound lanes and slowed traffic for miles.
