Cornelus ,OR : 19-year-old drunk driver crashed into tree and Two people injured on early Sunday morning,August 9th 2015

Officials say a 19-year-old drunk driver crashed into a tree early Sunday morning, sending two of his passengers to the hospital.

Washington County Sheriff's Office says the driver failed to negotiate a sharp right-hand curve after skidding, crashing into a tree in the area of NW Hornecker Road.

Two passengers were injured and driven to the hospital by a family member before deputies arrived; one suffered serious injuries and the other suffered minor injuries.

Deputies say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash. The driver, Christian Vazquez-Alfraro of Forest Grove, suffered minor injuries. The case will be sent to the District Attorney for grand jury consideration.
