Franklin, TN : Woman critically injured in rollover crash exiting I-65 onto McEwen on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2016

Franklin police said speed played a factor in a rollover crash on I-65 on Tuesday morning.

Police said the 18-year-old woman was exiting I-65 South at McEwen Drive at an extremely high rate of speed. She lost control of her Lexus SUV, drove across two westbound lanes and five eastbound lanes of traffic, and jumped two medians before careening down the on-ramp embankment near the Drury Plaza Hotel.

The engine, two front seats and center console separated from the vehicle after hitting the ditch, and landed in the hotel parking lot.

The driver, a Brentwood woman, was found unconscious in the tree line. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was last listed in critical condition.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Investigators are working to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
