Mount Pleasant, MI : Two persons were injured in a single-vehicle crash at Isabella County's on Saturday, 15th October, 2016
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a single-vehicle crash in Isabella County's Union Township that left the car's two occupants dead.
Michigan State Police troopers from the Mount Pleasant Post responded at about 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, to the crash at South Lincoln Road, just north of the East River Road intersection.
An investigation showed that a 2004 Nissan 350z was traveling northbound on South Lincoln Road with two occupants. The driver lost control, went off the roadway and overturned several times, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
While the crash remains under investigation, police said alcohol appears to have been a factor.
Troopers were assisted by the Isabella County Sheriff Department, Mount Pleasant Fire/Rescue and Mobile Medical Response.
