Hagerstown, MD : Man critically injured in Dual Highway crash in the 700 block of Dual Highway on Friday, 9th August 2019
A man suffered life-threatening injuries when a vehicle struck a tree early Friday in the 700 block of Dual Highway in Hagerstown.
Officer Heather Aleshire said on Friday the 22-year-old victim was riding in the backseat of a Chevrolet Sonic when the vehicle left the roadway shortly before 4 a.m.
The vehicle then struck a tree in the median.
On Saturday, Hagerstown police identified the 22-year-old as Kurtis Gibson of Hagerstown.
Police said Gibson was being treated at Meritus Medical Center as of 9:30 a.m. Friday.
No information on his condition was available Saturday.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Jordan Thomas Wise, 21, of Hagerstown, also was taken to Meritus to be treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
Aleshire said another passenger, Jeffrey Jordan Crampton, 18, was treated at Meritus and released.
