ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO : DeSoto man killed in crash on I-55 in South County on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

A DeSoto man was killed in a collision Wednesday morning on Interstate 55 near Butler Hill Road in St. Louis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Jimmy-Jack L. Johnson was pronounced dead at 9:48 a.m. at Mercy Hospital South.

According to the highway patrol, the crash happened at 8:53 a.m. on I-55 northbound just south of Butler Hill Road. A tractor-trailer slowed for traffic and the Ford truck that Johnson was driving struck the rear of the trailer.
