All lanes of southbound Interstate 71 traffic reopened at about 4:30 p.m.

One person is dead after a crash involving three tractor-trailers and a work van on southbound Interstate 71 in Warren County, officials said.

Ronald C. Hoeffler Jr., 51, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County coroner, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Hoeffler, of Lebanon, was caught between tractor-trailers when one of them failed to slow for stopped traffic, according to the highway patrol. Traffic was backed up due to lane closures for the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge construction project.

All southbound lanes were closed past Ohio 73 near the border of Warren and Clinton counties, a Warren County dispatcher said.
