WHEATLAND, IA : Child killed in UTV crash in Wheatland on Tuesday, 27th February 2024

At approximately 6:03 pm, officials with the Iowa State Patrol responded to the 2300 block of 210th Street for a report of a UTV crash.

Investigators say a 10-year-old was driving a UTV eastbound on 210th St with an 11-year-old passenger when they lost control and entered the north ditch and rolled over.

Officials say the 11-year-old suffered fatal injuries. The 10-year-old driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
