A Lancaster woman, who highway patrol officials said was driving drunk, was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Monday night on John Everall Road.
S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Gary Miller said Tabitha Hinson Cudd, 27, was traveling east on John Everall Road in a 2004 Toyota SUV when she ran off the side of the roadway near Robin Road and struck a tree head-on.
Miller said Cudd, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown through the front windshield and the SUV caught fire.
