HAMDEN, CT : Crash closes road near Quinnipiac University on Monday, 21st October 2024

A crash closed a busy road near Quinnipiac University in Hamden on Monday morning.

Mount Carmel Avenue was closed between Hogan Road and Ridge Road.

Crews on the scene told Channel 3 that a vehicle struck a utility pole, which came down across the road.

They anticipated that the road may not open until late Monday afternoon.

There’s no word on what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.
